The Aspen Institute Kyiv Held the Tenth Anniversary Seminar “Business and Society”

The Aspen Institute Kyiv held the tenth-anniversary seminar, “Business and Society.”
For more than five years, the seminar has provided an opportunity to exchange ideas among professionals, step away from operational tasks, and reflect on the nature of entrepreneurship and one’s own leadership purpose.
A diverse group of participants—from large company owners and CEOs to representatives of creative industries and public service—enabled the creation of a space for deep and lively dialogue in which participants’ thoughts complemented and enriched one another.
Of course, the central topic was the war and the challenges Ukraine faces today. Participants reflected on how social contract and interaction principles are changing to ensure an independent Ukraine’s security and further development. In addition, the dialogues focused on economic theory, the technological challenges of modern times, the role of the state in market relations, and the definition of the fundamental virtues of a contemporary leader.
A week of reflection in an atmosphere of trust and openness, where concerned and active people listened to one another and sought to better understand shared values and the responsibility of leaders to society, the Aspen dialogue format once again demonstrated its value for mutual enrichment of participants’ inner worlds.
We are grateful to the moderators, Andriy Kulakov and Yevhen Lemberg, and the seminar program director at The Aspen Institute Kyiv, Alina Shklyaruk, for the seminar.
The Aspen Institute Kyiv executive team sincerely thanks every seminar participant for their contribution to the dialogue. We hope that the experience gained during this week of reflection will inspire new achievements for the development of Ukrainian society.
