  • Yuliya Tychkivska
    Executive director
    She has many years of management experience in educational institutions. Yuliya served as a Vice President at Kyiv School of Economics (KSE). She worked as a Head of the advisory group for Ukrainian Minister of Economic Development and Trade. Yulia is a co-founder of Bendukidze Free Market Centre. She is a civic activist in Ukraine and founder of the Open University of Maidan. Yuliya graduated in Atlas Leadership Academy and Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. In 2018, Forbes selected her as a top 30 under 30 in Europe in Law and Policy field for her role in the building of civil society in Ukraine.

  • Denis Poltavets
    Director of Program Development
    Civil Society Development Expert: Since 2016, Program Development Director at the Aspen Institute Kyiv; since 2007, cooperated with the Aspen Ukraine Initiative as a moderator; Program Development Manager of the International Renaissance Foundation, an expert and project coordinator of the UN Development Program in Ukraine; Degree in psychiatry.

  • Roman Kobets
    Director of the program "Good Governance"
    Mr. Kobets holds a PhD in philosophy and is a Fellow of of the H. S. Skovoroda Institute of Philosophy of the Ukrainian National Academy of Science. Since 2014, he has been the Director of the European Information and Research Center at Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Head of the Expert Group on Strengthening Government’s State Policy Analyzing Capacity and head of the online project Policy Analysis for Democracy since 2016. Mr. Kobets has also developed a number of new strategies for analyzing and promoting state policies.

    Director of Seminar Programs
    Фахівець з 20-річчним міжнародним досвідом організації ділових, просвітницьких і культурних заходів в Україні та за її межами, зокрема в Сеулі та Пекіні. Має управлінський досвід в рекрутингових компаніях. В 2010 році приєдналася до Аспен-ініціативи в Україні в якості керівника проекту семінарів "Відповідальне лідерство" та працювала над розвитком Асоціації випускників "Аспен-Україна". Сьогодні очолює напрямок семінарських програм Аспен Інституту Київ.

    Coordinator of the Justice, Law, and Society Program
    Olena Fomina is a Coordinator of the program area “Justice, Law, and Society” at the Aspen Institute Kyiv. She is an Attorney, a tax, business, and alternative dispute resolution lawyer. Included in the publishing house «Yurydychna Gazeta» professional rating «Client’s Choice: TOP-100 best lawyers of Ukraine» (2015, 2017, 2018). Graduated from Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University. She also graduated from the CELLI Institute (Prague) on International Bankruptcy Models and the Kyiv Mohyla Business School on Mediation. Olena is studying at Macquarie University «Leading: Human Resource Management and Leadership», Global MBA. She is a member of the Ukrainian Bar Association, and holds the post of the Vice-Chairman of the Bankruptcy Committee of the Ukrainian Advocates‘ Association). She is the author of more than 50 publications on legal and socio-economic issues in national print media. Was a participant of the seminar "Justice, Law and Society" (Aspen Institute Kyiv, 2018).8).

  • Marina Boiarchuk
    Marina Boiarchuk is a Coordinator at the Aspen Institute Kyiv. She helps to develop and implement Aspen Teens program, a policy program of the Aspen Institute Kyiv. Before joining the Aspen Institute Kyiv, Marina served in the Investment banking company. Marina also served as a Teach, having taught French language and literature at the University and Primary School. After graduation she studied Literature at the Università degli studi di Roma “Tor Vergata” in Italy.
