Over 170 Leaders from Various Sectors Worked on Socially Significant Projects in Ivano-Frankivsk

The Aspen Institute Kyiv, in collaboration with Promprylad.Renovation held the Ukrainian Action Forum in Ivano-Frankivsk for the second time. Blago and Yehor Grebennikov were the co-organizers.  

More than 170 leaders from across Ukraine gathered to share their experience, knowledge, and competencies to strengthen socially significant initiatives and projects. Last year, this format already proved effective, with some projects implementing the recommendations received.

Main Focus of the Forum – Working on Projects

This year, participants worked on improving 13 initiatives aimed at addressing important societal challenges, including:

  • The Deminer – a profession of the future
  • Helping Our Own Is a Matter of Honour – corporate charitable foundation of the MTI group of companies
  • Co-Haty – affordable housing for vulnerable populations
  • Sexual Rehabilitation for Service Members and Veterans after Injuries
  • DoLadu Mental Health – rehabilitation of service members
  • Ko_Laba – a network of spaces for teenagers
  • CrimeDataLab
  • Skarb – an educational project
  • NGO “Sisters of the Road” – addressing the truck driver shortage and integrating women into the profession
  • Veteran Policy for Business
  • Resilience Centers
  • Sheep Farming in the Carpathians
  • Information Platform for Parents Raising Children with Disabilities

Participants worked in dedicated groups where everyone could contribute ideas and solutions that could be turned into concrete actions for project development.

Practical Experience and Examples for Others: Forum Panel Discussions

Panel speakers shared their practical experience, sources of inspiration, and large-scale projects that can be examples for others. They also analyzed the context of successful activity during wartime. Discussion topics included:

  • Being Yourself: Ukrainian Worldview in Action
  • Business in the Storm: New Opportunities in Times of Change
  • The Soft Power of Long-Term Decisions
  • Art as a Pillar: How Creativity Heals, Gives Meaning, and Shapes the Future

Speakers included: Oleksandra Matviichuk, Ihor Hryniv, Yevhen Hlibovytsky, Mykola Kmit, Yulia Marushevska, Oleksandr Pochkun, Halyna Yanchenko, Oksana Syroyid, Oleksii Erinchak, Adam Kharlampovych, Andrii Zelinskyi, Dmytro Sukholytkyy-Sobchuk, Nadiia Shapoval, Kateryna Kalytko, and Viacheslav Drofa (OTOY).
