Aspen Institute Kyiv Holds a Seminar on Public Presence and a Leader’s Personal Brand

From 8 to 11 May 2026, Aspen Institute Kyiv held the seminar “Public Presence and a Leader’s Personal Brand.”

“You have a story worth telling.” With these words, Dmytro Melnykovych opened the seminar—a community-led initiative created by Aspen members, for Aspen members.

The programme combined meaningful conversations, open dialogue, and shared reflection with practical work on developing participants’ personal brands. Discussions explored questions such as: Does a leader have the right to a private opinion? Where is the line between simplification and manipulation? How is trust built? And why does public visibility without inner authenticity ultimately fail?

The seminar blended conceptual sessions with practical exercises, dialogue, and peer feedback. Throughout the programme, participants identified their current starting point in public communication, developed their positioning and core message, analysed their audiences, clarified the value they bring, and outlined the next steps toward a more intentional, consistent, and sustainable public presence.

The initiative was curated and coordinated by Vitalii Kuzmin and Halyna Zahorodniuk, members of the Aspen Community Council, who support the Initiative of Initiatives platform and help participants develop and implement their ideas.

The seminar dialogue was moderated by Denys Poltavets, Director of Program Development at Aspen Institute Kyiv.
