The Aspen Institute Kyiv is recruiting Events & Communications coordinator
The Aspen Institute Kyiv starts Cybersecurity Dialogue Program to foster innovation and facilitate collaboration between Government, Business, Academia, and professional Community and thus to address the most pressing cybersecurity challenges. The Cybersecurity Dialogue Program prescribes the creation of the cybersecurity community to engage cybersecurity professionals, experts, managers, and government officials in collaboration aimed at translating cybersecurity conversations into action.
The Cybersecurity community will be coordinated by the Events & Communications coordinator to support a platform that allows key cybersecurity stakeholders to find solutions and act to increase Ukraine’s cybersecurity capacity and resilience.
The Events & Communications coordinator is responsible for the preparing and coordination of program events, seminars and other program activities. The Events & Communications coordinator will work under supervision of the Cybersecurity Dialogue Program manager.
The position will be based in Kyiv with some travel throughout the country.
Project duration: 2,5 years

Responsibilities:
- To oversee and organize program events (stakeholder dialogues and seminars) according to grant requirements, target audience and objectives;
- To lead promotional activities for the events in line with best practice standards of the Aspen Institute Kyiv;
- To develop and implement a realistic and sustainable strategy on the сybersecurity community engagement;
- To monitor social media to build a сybersecurity community and increase engagement of the participants;
- To provide information about events to be used for public communication and reporting on behalf of the Aspen Institute Kyiv;
- To identity representatives of key stakeholders for the dialogue sessions, support communication and engagement in program activities;
- To manage all event operations (preparing and booking venue, invitations, catering, reporting etc.);
- To negotiate with vendors to achieve the most favorable terms;
- To work closely with Program manager in implementation program activities;
- Carry out other duties that are consistent with the overall focus of the Program.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience as an event coordinator/ community manager or similar role;
- Experience in planning and leading policy dialogue initiatives;
- Ability to identify and track relevant KPIs;
- Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal and presentations skills;
- Fluent Ukrainian and English;
● Strategic thinking and leadership skills;
● Acceptance of the Organization’s values.
Type of employment: full-time; remote work is to be discussed. Probation period – 3 months.
