The Aspen Institute’s Kyiv Podcast recording, “Conversations about Integrity: What integrity is and how to cultivate it in society”

“Behave right when no one is watching” — this is one of the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) slogans, as shared by Viktor Pavlushchyk, Head of the NACP. In the podcast “Conversations About Integrity,” Mr. Viktor discussed:

  • The sectors most vulnerable to corruption, according to citizens and businesses.  
  • The specifics of combating corruption at various levels and the guarantees for whistleblowers.  
  • The involvement of civil society in governance processes.  

Denis Poltavets, Director of Program Development at the Aspen Institute Kyiv, moderated the conversation.  

How to Cultivate Integrity in Public Service and Why Cultural Institutions Are Important.

Olesia Ostrovska-Liuta, Director of the Mystetskyi Arsenal, spoke in the podcast “Conversations About Integrity” about:  

  • The balance between actions for public benefit and adherence to strict regulations.  
  • Ways to encourage integrity among public servants.  
  • The role of cultural institutions during a full-scale war.  
  • Strategies to reduce violations among public servants.
