“Aspen Teens: Fight for UA Dream. Leadership in Action”: 48 teens shaping their vision of leadership

Big changes often begin with small local initiatives that gradually gain momentum and influence a broader circle of people. However, to lead others and support the change process, it is crucial to be ready to take responsibility, develop leadership skills, and work on personal resilience. This applies not only to adults but also to teenagers.

Aspen Institute Kyiv, in partnership with the Klitschko Foundation, held a seminar on November 19–20 titled “Aspen Teens: Fight for UA Dream. Leadership in Action” as part of the School of Resilience project.

Participants aged 14 to 16 from various regions of Ukraine engaged in discussions of philosophical texts, shared their thoughts on leadership, analyzed present-day challenges, and explored ways to address them. The seminar, during which teenagers reflected on socially significant topics and shaped their vision of leadership in times of uncertainty, became the starting point for the project. Moving forward, participants will design local initiatives to implement in their communities.

Olha Maslova, PhD in Biology, co-founder of the Nobilitet project and the Naukopopil channel, and Tymur Demchuk, head of corporate training at KMBS and lecturer at “Maibutni” and KMBS, moderated the seminar.

We are thrilled that 48 young leaders participated in the seminar. The experience they gained will inspire actions capable of shaping the future.
