Congratulations to the Graduates of the 11th “Business and Society” Seminar!

From 29 November to 5 December, Aspen Institute Kyiv held the 11th “Business and Society” seminar in the Carpathian Mountains. The seminar brought together business owners and executives, military personnel, lawyers, artists, and representatives of cultural institutions and the creative industries who contribute to the development of business and society across different regions of Ukraine.

Throughout the seminar, participants engaged in thoughtful, open, and trusting dialogue on the nature of entrepreneurship and power, the boundaries of responsibility and freedom, the principles of justice, the challenges of our time, the social contract, and the many dimensions of leadership.

The central focus of the seminar was to reflect on the impact of Russia’s full-scale invasion on Ukraine’s economic, political, cultural, and social life, while exploring the potential for a renewed social contract.

Drawing on works by classical and contemporary thinkers, participants sought answers to enduring questions, reconsidered them through the lens of their own experiences, and enriched the discussions with diverse perspectives. Everyone had the opportunity to contribute their own reflections while broadening their understanding through the insights of others.

Our sincere thanks go to the seminar moderators, Yevhen Lemberh and Yehor Hryhorenko, as well as Alina Shkliaruk, Director of Seminar Programs at Aspen Institute Kyiv, for leading this seminar.

The executive team of Aspen Institute Kyiv is deeply grateful to every participant for their contribution to the dialogue. We are confident that the experience gained throughout this week of shared reflection will inspire new steps toward meaningful change and the continued development of Ukrainian society.
