The Aspen Institute Kyiv held an online-meeting with cybersecurity business representatives — more specifically, the members of the European Business Association

The Aspen Institute Kyiv aims to sustain the development of the cybersecurity field in Ukraine and engages stakeholders in exchanging ideas and experiences.
On April 17, 2024, the Institute, with the expert support of Yuriy Kotliarov, Partner at Asters Law Firm, held an online meeting with representatives of the cybersecurity business sector — members of the European Business Association. The goal of the meeting was to discuss the possibilities of creating a cybersecurity committee within the EBA, its mission and tasks.
Industry representatives noted that creating a cybersecurity committee or subcommittee at the European Business Association is relevant and important. The cross-sectoral principle of the committee’s (subcommittee’s) work will help enhance the cybersecurity level of businesses representing various industries. Moreover, participants expressed their readiness to support the creation of such a committee and participate in its activities.
Representatives of the companies “Asters,” JSC “Ukrtelecom,” NPC “Ukrenergo,” IT-Integrator,” Metinvest, and “NEQSOL Holding” participated in the discussion.
We thank the participants for the fertile discussion! Currently, we are collecting proposals to improve the concept of creating a committee within the EBA.
