The Aspen Institute Kyiv is looking for an intern to join our communications team
The Aspen Institute Kyiv is building and developing its brand, increasing the reach and impact of its communications. For example, the Institute added Instagram to its communication platforms this year. Also, we had realized several communication projects: a series of interviews with Institute’s alumni called “Leadership and War,” the publication of texts from the collection “Rethinking the Social Contract for Ukraine” on Suspilne Culture, partnerships with TSN, Suspilne, Espresso, LB.ua during the “Ideas Days.”
Communications of the Aspen Institute Kyiv are progressing, so more exciting tasks and projects exist. Therefore, the Institute seeks an intern to join the communications team.

Conditions of the internship:
- Workload: 15 hours per week.
- Ability to work online.
- Internship payment conditions will be discussed additionally.
Intern profile:
- The last-year students of the bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD program. The interns prefer to major in communications, journalism, public relations, or related fields. At the same time, The Aspen Institute Kyiv does not set age limits for potential interns.
- Has a high level of Ukrainian language proficiency.
- Has good written and spoken English.
- Writing skills and experience of project realization in various social media will be an advantage.
- A basic understanding of graphic editors (Photoshop/Illustrator) would also be desirable.
Tasks that the intern will perform:
- Selection of visual materials.
- Basic video editing for Instagram. For example, adding titles.
- Translation of text materials: from Ukrainian to English and vice versa.
- Working with data: search, analysis, systematization.
- Text preparation for social networks and the website of The Aspen Institute Kyiv.
- Participation in the development of the content plan of The Aspen Institute Kyiv.
- Participation in brainstorming and idea generation by the communication team.
