We have begun Ideas Days — 2024 in Zhytomyr: experts discussed education and military leadership

The traditional and headline project of the Aspen Institute Kyiv and Impact Hub Odesa, with its co-founder Yehor Grebennikov — Ideas Days — has returned!

This year’s first Ideas Day took place in Zhytomyr, starting a series of three events. We will hold upcoming events in Poltava and Odesa later on .

About 100 representatives from socially significant fields and leadership communities were inspired by expert speeches during panel discussions. They discussed the need to transform the education system considering current challenges, the impact of historical traditions of leadership education, and the role of civil society in transforming military education and leadership. Local community representatives participated in the discursive forum “The Future of Zhytomyr Region,” actively discussing the region’s challenges and ways to solve them.

Finding common ground and discussing questions that are difficult to answer is one of our essential tasks as a society. After all, balanced joint actions today will help us persevere and yield positive results in the future.
