«Decentralization Policy Dialog»

“Good Governance and dialogues with stakeholders” seminar has started, as part of the Good Governance Program.  The purpose of the seminar is to provide leadership of decentralization with a better understanding of good governance principles and respective best practices by establishing a dialogue platform for national and local leaders.

Gennadiy Zubko, former Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, member of the Aspen Community (Responsible Leadership-8), gave a welcoming speech. The seminar brought together politicians, government and municipal officials, representatives of the scientific and expert environment, business, leaders of the united territorial communities and the non-governmental sector, representatives of international organizations and media.

 

Over the course of 9 months, within the Decentralization Policy Dialogue component, a series of thematic seminars, roundtables, and other events will be held to promote good governance principles and best practices in this area.
