The 5th “Values and Society” Seminar Welcomes New Members to the Aspen Community
The fifth “Values and Society” seminar has concluded, bringing together 24 leaders from business, public service, politics, culture, the arts, media, civil society, and academia. We congratulate all participants on this new experience and on joining the Aspen Institute Kyiv community!
Over the course of five days, participants engaged in discussions of philosophical texts, with particular attention to questions of law and justice, equality and freedom, property and democracy, the good life, and the nature of leadership.
Moving beyond standard answers in favor of grappling with complex ethical questions, participants exchanged perspectives and knowledge, strengthening the foundation for self-awareness — not only in making personally significant decisions, but with an eye toward building a more developed and good society.
