Featuring the Aspen Institute Kyiv alumni in the First Special Issue of Vogue Leaders

What inspires you to get up every morning? Inertia, a list of planned tasks, a cup of coffee?

For some, it is a dream that motivates them; for others, it is projects that require attention, effort, and leadership. Leaders are agents of positive change who lead, motivate with their humanity and strength, and move their country and communities forward. Their commitment inspires others to work together to achieve global change and create new meanings that will give them the strength to keep moving toward their goals.

Vogue Ukraine has launched an annual Vogue Leaders initiative to recognize art, diplomacy, education, and social activism professionals shaping the country’s present and future.

This year’s Vogue Ukraine Leaders Class of 2024 includes three Aspen alums:

  • Kateryna Zagoriy, philanthropist, co-founder of the Zagoriy Foundation, member of the Supervisory Board of the Aspen Institute Kyiv;
  • Taras Prokopyshyn, co-founder and CEO of The Ukrainians Media, the “Responsible Leadership” Seminar — 26 alumni;
  • Yana Barinova, project manager in the humanitarian sector, the Values and Society seminar — 3 alums.

Yuliуa Tychkivska, Executive Director of the Aspen Institute Kyiv, spoke about the Institute’s activities, including seminars and program areas, the importance of diversity of thought, and upcoming events that will become a platform for the intersection of leadership worlds in an interview for the “Mind Games” section of Vogue Leaders magazine.

“Understanding the meanings and needs of what Aspen does helps. Meanings give you the strength to wake up every morning. We are happy people because we are developing our country,” says Yuliya Tychkivska.

We believe in Ukrainian leaders and make efforts to strengthen them. We join in the congratulatory wishes!
