Ms. Chrystia Freeland resigned from her position as a Trustee of the Aspen Institute Kyiv Board of Trustees.

About her resignation, she announced in the official letter to Ms. Natalie Jaresko, Chairperson of the Aspen Institute Kyiv Supervisory Board, dated May 14, 2021:

“Dear Ms. Jaresko,

I regret to inform you of my resignation from my position as Trustee of the Aspen Institute Kyiv, effective as of May 16, 2021, at the Supervisory Board meeting.

Fostering democratic dialogue and encouraging local capacity is critical to the future of Ukraine, and the Institute is a leader in this regard.

Rest assured you can count on my continued support for Ukraine’s sovereignty, reforms, and democracy.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve on the Supervisory Board.
