The philosophical seminar “The Realms of the Future” for teenagers was successfully completed

We are delighted to welcome the participants of the third philosophical seminar “The Realms of the Future, within program “Aspen Teens”, to the Aspen Community.

During three days, young leaders from all over Ukraine worked with the texts of philosophers, scholars and thinkers, looking for answers to the following questions: In what society do I live? What are my dreams for my life? What can make me happy? What is my mission in life?

In the form of moderated dialogue and group lessons, the participants investigated the notion of trust, found out the values ​​of critical thinking, discussed the professions of the future and pondered the place of the person in society.

Moderators of the workshop Anton Drobovich and Anastasia Donskaya helped to deal with such fundamental issues for this age. Invited speakers Anton Senenko (Senior Researcher at the Physical Electronics Department of the Institute of Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine) and Orysia Demska (Professor at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy) shared their experience and knowledge of basic skills and competences. In their view, to be effective and successful a modern person should have and develop skills and competences, namely: the ability to learn and do it consciously, do not simulate knowledge, keep balance, think critically.

At the end of the seminar, each participant will start implementing a local project in the city: lectures and public events that will focus on discussing the actual problems of society and finding ways to solve them. Therefore, we are actively following the development ana success of our participants and wish them to achieve new realms!

The main goal of the seminar is to create a tendency among participants to think critically, to spread among teenagers the idea of value-oriented leadership and to encourage them to create a society of the future.
