Boundaries of Leadership and the Economic Nature of a Human: the Aspen Institute Kyiv held the seventh “Business and Society” Seminar

What motivates people to engage in economic activity and entrepreneurship? How do we counteract the challenges of war and maintain resilience? What is the peculiarity of business leadership in the information age?
The seventh “Business and Society” seminar occurred in the Carpathians on December 2-8. It brought together 24 participants – entrepreneurs, business owners, managers, government representatives, state institutions, and professional associations from different cities in Ukraine that promote business development.
Based on the texts of modern and classical authors, the event participants looked for answers to eternal questions, comprehending them through their own life experiences and complementing them with extraordinary views. Everyone had an opportunity to express their opinions and expand the horizons of their worldview by listening to the views of others.
Throughout the week, the participants engaged in dialogues about human nature, property, responsibility and boundaries of leadership, morality, and ethics in business, the good life, and other fundamental categories. An essential topic of the seminar was the challenges of our time, including the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war.
Yegor Grygorenko, a partner and a Head of the Consulting Department in Deloitte Ukraine, a Supervisory Board of KSE member, and Yevhen Lemberg, Chairman of the Board of the Aricol Group of Companies, moderated the seminar.
Alina Shklyaruk, Seminar Program Director at the Aspen Institute Kyiv, coordinated the event.
We congratulate the participants on the completion of the seminar! We hope that the experience gained during the week of exchange of ideas will inspire them to new achievements and open new horizons of knowledge!
