The seminar was in the format of the record. Participants talked about the present, past, and future of Ukraine. During the event, the issues of national identity and the factors that determine it, human rights, and national narrative were analyzed.
Moderated dialogues with elements of the Socratic method were based on the texts of modern Ukrainian thinkers. They were prepared especially for the Reinventing Ukrainian Identity Project.
— The purpose of the Aspen Dialogue is to give leaders in different fields the opportunity to hear each other. In my opinion, we managed to create an atmosphere of trust and allowed participants to express their position sincerely. The discussion was diverse and intense. I am convinced that everyone gained valuable experience from it, — said Olena Fomina, head of the Aspen Institute Kyiv National Identity Program.
The seminar was moderated by Anton Drobovych, Chairman of the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory, and Andriy Kulakov, Program Director of Internews-Ukraine, Program Coordinator of the Aspen Institute Kyiv Community.
