“Realms of the Future” is a seminar for teens that encourages them to develop critical thinking, define their values and choose their desired career path. The seminar is a part of the Institute’s Aspen Teens initiative and is organized together with Klitschko Foundation. The 8th seminar will be held online from October 25th through 30th. Prospective participants can apply here.
We invite 14 to 16-year-olds who want to understand themselves, determine their career path, and cultivate leadership qualities.
Through discussion of philosophical texts, communication with other proactive youths, and realization of a common project, the participants will
- Develop critical thinking.
- Examine their personal values.
- Discuss their thoughts and challenges they face.
- Gain experience in teamwork and public presentation.
In addition, the participants will meet interesting guests – leaders who are already transforming the world and will motivate teens to do the same.
After the seminar every participant will organize a project for their community, thus putting the knowledge they gained into practice.
“The majority of Aspen Institute’s programs are for Ukrainian leaders from different spheres. However, we realized that dialogue between young people is just as important. That is why we started Aspen Teens, where we run “Horizons of the Future” seminars together with Klitschko Foundation” says Denys Poltavets, the Director of Program Development at Aspen Institute Kyiv.
Since 2017, Aspen Institute Kyiv has held 7 seminars for teens. The project currently has 135 alumni from different parts of Ukraine, and this number will soon grow. Apply here: https://bit.ly/3BMaE3I
