Enrollment for the “Justice, Law, and Society” Seminar

Aspen Institute Kyiv announces the enrollment of participants for the seminar “Justice, Law, and Society,” which will take place on July 12-16 in Transcarpathia. Submit your applications via the link.

The seminar aims to create a platform for dialogue among professionals in jurisprudence who are willing to contemplate the philosophical aspects of phenomena in the state-legal reality by engaging with the achievements of the Western philosophical tradition.

Seminar participants will take part in moderated dialogues with elements of the Socratic method – they will jointly read and discuss excerpts from the works of classical and contemporary thinkers, exchange thoughts and experience to gain a deeper understanding of themselves, their professional mission, and the essence of phenomena in the state-legal reality.

Over four days, participants will discuss fundamental ideas and concepts of legal philosophy, such as justice, law, rights and obligations, and the essence of the state. They will have the opportunity to reflect on the role and responsibility of leaders in developing legal culture, legal awareness, and just social relations.

Professionals in jurisprudence, public administration, human rights activities, professional journalism, and scientists who have active civic positions and are leaders in their respective fields may participate in the seminar.

Registration is open from April 3 to May 19 via the link.

Participation in the seminar is free of charge and is based on a competitive selection process. The OSCE funds the “Justice, Law and Society” seminar.
