Transatlantic Strategic Dialogue

On April 4-5, 2019 in cooperation with The Aspen Strategy Group and Aspen Initiative for Europe the meeting of “Transatlantic Strategic Dialogue” was held.

The delegates from Ukraine were Natalie Jaresko (Chairperson of the Aspen Institute Kyiv), Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze (Vice-Prime-Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, Aspen Institute Kyiv community member) and Katya Gorchinskaya (journalist, media manager and former CEO of Hromadske Television, Aspen Institute Kyiv community member).

The key topics of the meeting:
–          The Technological Revolution and National Security;
–          The China Challenge;
–          European Elections and the future of the European Union;
–          Facing an aggressive Russia;
–          NATO at 70: An Alliance in Crisis;
–          U.S.-EU Trade Tensions and the U.S. Political Outlook.

The very first event of the meeting was business breakfast with a discussion on the rise of authoritarianism around the globe and our need to work together to defend and maintain our democracies.
