Ukrainian leaders held a dialogue with the international community about supporting Ukraine at the Bloomberg CityLab 2022
Today, one of the crucial areas of work for Aspen Institute Kyiv is establishing a dialogue with the international leadership community about support and assistance to Ukraine.
On October 9-11, the Institute joined the annual global city summit Bloomberg CityLab 2022 in Amsterdam, organized by Bloomberg Philanthropies in partnership with the Aspen Institute (USA). At the event were represented cities from six continents. The event gathered more than 500 leaders from various fields, experts, innovators, and artists. In addition, more than 40 mayors from the leading cities of the USA, Europe, Africa, and Latin America took part in the sessions.
Three city mayors: Vitaliy Klitschko (Kyiv), Andriy Sadovyi (Lviv), and Anatoliy Fedoruk (Bucha), as well as the Executive Director and the of the Supervisory Board of the Aspen Institute Kyiv Yuliya Tychkivska and Natalie Jaresko, represented Ukraine. The emotional speeches of the Ukrainian participants on October 10 and 11, which coincided with the mass bombing of Ukrainian cities, were intended to convey to the leaders of the world community the importance of supporting our country. Also, the issues of countering Russian aggression, aid, and further reconstruction of Ukraine were discussed by foreign speakers.
Among the summit events, a strategic session of the Aspen Institute Kyiv Supervisory Board and meetings of Aspen Institute Kyiv Community members took place. The event gathered more than 500 leaders from various fields, experts, innovators, and artists.
