Recovery and Development of Ukraine after Victory: Aspen Institute’s Kyiv hosting of a Seminar for Community Members

The future of Ukraine is currently being widely discussed on various platforms. Aspen Institute Kyiv engages participants with diverse experiences and ideas in this dialogue so that change leaders can complement each other’s visions.

The Institute organized a club seminar titled “Justice and Social Development in Post-War Ukraine.” Participants were government officials, judges, lawyers, entrepreneurs, and communicators.

Participants analyzed various aspects of Ukraine’s post-war future during the club seminar. The most pressing topics included the reintegration of temporarily occupied territories, accountability for Russians and collaborators, transitional justice mechanisms, economic development, and attracting additional resources for Ukraine’s recovery. Participants also discussed Ukraine’s strategic directions, including EU and NATO accession. Significant attention was devoted to the demographic situation and its future projections, encompassing the return of Ukrainians to their homeland and the need to attract migrants from other regions.

As a reference, Aspen Institute Kyiv conducts club-type seminars for community members. These are active alumni united by the desire for the common good. One of the distinctive features of such dialogues is the atmosphere of trust, where participants sincerely express their thoughts without attempting to prove their correctness.
