An International seminar for young leaders “The NextGen Network: Transatlantic Initiative” was held
On June 2, Aspen Institute Kyiv, Aspen Institute Spain, and Aspen Institute (USA) with the support of Microsoft held the first online seminar “The NextGen Network: Transatlantic Initiative”.
During the workshop, 25 young leaders from Europe and the United States discussed the challenges and strengths of transatlantic relations to better understand political discourses in the United States and Europe. It was a deep, dynamic, and action-oriented conversation with the aim of proposing new policy solutions and finding a common language for progress.
This year, the Ukrainian Aspen Community was represented at the International seminar by Artem Shaipov, USAID New Justice Program Legal Adviser, a participant of the Aspen Institute Kyiv Justice, Law and Society-8 Seminar.
“It is such a true intellectual pleasure to be part of the Aspen NextGen Network. I enjoyed every second of the dialogue bringing together leading professionals from both sides of the Atlantic. It gave me a better understanding of the current state of the transatlantic relationship and how one can make a difference to improve it. This valuable experience empowered me with a global network of fellows to collaborate on advancing the Aspen idea and strengthening the transatlantic relationship going forward” – Artem Shaipov.
